Multi-source deep research — searches the web, synthesizes findings, delivers cited report

Input: $ARGUMENTS — topic, question, or research goal.

Apply the dog:deep-research skill to produce a thorough, cited research report.

Requires at least one MCP: firecrawl (firecrawl_search, firecrawl_scrape) or exa (web_search_exa, web_search_advanced_exa). Both together give best coverage.

The skill will:

  1. Clarify — Ask 1-2 quick questions (goal: learning / decision / writing? specific angle?). Skip if "just research it."
  2. Plan — Break topic into 3-5 sub-questions to guide parallel searches
  3. Search — Query multiple sources via firecrawl + exa MCPs concurrently
  4. Synthesize — Consolidate findings, identify consensus vs conflicting views, flag gaps
  5. Report — Deliver structured report with: executive summary, key findings per sub-question, sources cited inline

Use for: competitive analysis, technology evaluation, market sizing, due diligence, any topic requiring synthesis from multiple sources. Use when: "research", "deep dive", "investigate", or "what's the current state of".
