Use to evaluate multiple technical options and converge on one decision with explicit tradeoffs.

Workflow

  1. Define decision criteria from project constraints.
  2. Generate 2-3 viable options with omi-architect and omi-planner perspectives.
  3. Evaluate each option against criteria (cost, risk, delivery speed, maintainability).
  4. Recommend one option and explain why alternatives were rejected.
  5. Produce an execution handoff for the chosen option.

Rules

  • Do not force consensus without tradeoff evidence.
  • Keep decisions reversible where possible.
  • Explicitly call out unknowns that can change the decision.
