Micro-Protocol

  1. Read tasks/lessons.md — apply relevant patterns
  2. Identify entry points and module boundaries
  3. Map primitives and ownership
  4. Trace key dependency edges and cycles
  5. Collect ≥3 file:line evidence items per finding
  6. Rank refactor targets by ROI and scope risk

Focus Areas

  • Primitives: core domain concepts and who owns them
  • Modules: responsibilities and boundaries
  • Dependencies: cycles, god modules, "spooky action at a distance"
  • Boundary leaks: shared mutable state, direct field reach-through, deep imports, cross-module type entanglement
  • Refactor targets: ranked by ROI

Evidence Standard

  • Minimum 3 file:line per architectural claim
  • Mark assumptions explicitly when code access is limited
  • Never present unverified guesses as facts

Output (concise default)

FINDINGS

  • 3–8 bullets: most important truths (each with file:line)

MODULE MAP

  • module → responsibility → key entrypoints (file:line)

DEPENDENCIES

  • notable edges, cycles, god modules

VIOLATIONS

  • boundary leaks / shared state / circular deps (with evidence)

RECOMMENDATIONS

  • top 3–7 changes, ordered by impact, minimal-scope suggestions

POTENTIAL FOLLOW-UPS

  • nearby issues noticed but out of scope
